ROBIN DAVIE’S ULTIMATE CHALLENGE COMES TO MFS OCTOBER 27
Moorestown Friends School Middle School students (grades 5-8) will enjoy a multimedia trip around the world courtesy of Robin Davie on Friday.
The well-known sailor will visit the school Friday, October 27 from 10:45 – 11:30 a.m. in the Auditorium. Davie is one of the very few people to have sailed around the world…and he’s done it three times as part of the Around Alone Solo.
The Around Alone Solo sailboat race has been sailed every four years since 1982. At 27,000 miles in length and seven months in duration, it is the longest race on Earth for an individual in any sport. It is widely regarded as the ‘Ultimate Challenge” or the “Mount Everest of the Ocean.”
He brings his unique and action-packed perspective through a series of riveting tales of life at sea that is punctuated by a video and slide presentation.
