MOORESTOWN FRIENDS SPEAKER TO ADDRESS DIVERSITY TOPICS

MOORESTOWN, NJ -- Moorestown Friends will host Dr. Michael “Mykee” Fowlin’s acclaimed diversity presentation, “You Don’t Know Me ’Til You Know Me,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, in the Moorestown Friends School Auditorium.

Fowlin, who has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, has worked extensively with teenagers across the U.S. His original and powerful performances have been seen by over a million people. This special presentation, designed for parents of students of all ages, will offer ways to set the stage for inclusion.

His gripping, fast-paced show addresses issues of race, discrimination, violence, personal identity and gender equity.  Nine characters come to life with the humorous and at times heartbreaking tales.

Fowlin’s work has included peer mediation, diversity workshops, violence prevention and gender sensitivity training. His presentation is sponsored by the MFS Parent Council, the school’s Diversity Office and its SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) Program.
