STUDENTS CHOSEN
FOR
WESTERN
BURLINGTON
COUNTY
HONORS
BAND
MOORESTOWN,
NJ – Four
Moorestown
Friends
School
students
have
been
chosen
to
participate
in
the
2005-2006
Western
Burlington
County
Music
Alliance
High
School
Honors
Band.
The
students
will
present
a
concert
at
7:30
p.m.
Wed.,
March
22,
in
the
auditorium
of
Moorestown
High
School.
Musicians
chosen
for
participation
were
David
Sheffield,
a
Mount
Laurel
junior,
who
will
play
bassoon;
Maeve
Kelly,
a
Crosswicks
freshman,
on
French
horn;
Joey
Alter,
a
Collingswood
sophomore,
on
alto
saxophone,
and
Andrew
Thompson,
a
Mount
Holly
junior,
on
tenor
saxophone.
The
students
were
nominated
by
George
Stallé,
the
instrumental
music
teacher
at
MFS.
Stallé is
a
Moorestown
resident.
Only
students
in
good
standing
in
their
high
school
programs
who
demonstrate
a
high
degree
of
musical
interest
and
progress
are
recommended
to
participate.
Those
selected
gather
for
three
half-day
rehearsals
before
the
concert.
The
WBCMA
organization,
which
has
been
in
existence
since
1994,
is
comprised
of
directors
and
students
from
Moorestown,
Delran,
Cinnaminson,
Palmyra,
Riverside,
Maple
Shade,
Rancocas
Valley
Regional,
Willingboro
and
Moorestown
Friends
high
schools.
