We give to MFS because...
Scott
and Valerie have been greatly involved with Moorestown Friends
over the years – serving in a number of capacities with Parent
Council and tackling some of the biggest volunteer jobs the school has
to offer, such as jointly serving as Parent Council Lower School Coordinators,
and Valerie co-chairing the school’s record-breaking biennial auction
in 2007. Neighbors of Moorestown
Friends, Scott, a real estate specialist, or Valerie can often be seen
walking across the fields with their children to school in the morning.
The family created an acronym spelling “success” to
describe why they support MFS:
S for stewardship –
MFS takes great care to manage the overall development of the individual
student;
U for understanding – MFS
first understands the needs of each child to enhance their overall development;
C for
community – MFS provides many service projects to our community
and encourages involvement of the students and their families;
C for
critical thought – MFS teachings encourage each child
to process information and make reflective judgments;
E for ethics – MFS
instills a guiding philosophy that encourages students to pattern good
ethics wherever they go and with whomever they encounter;
S for
spirituality – MFS encourages exploration of spirituality
though open expression of feelings and thoughts;
S for society – MFS
prepares each student, upon graduation, to enter the society and be a
success.
