The Moorestown Friends School endowment consists of gifts donated to the school that have been invested in order to produce income. The school’s endowment is valued at over $8 million.   Income from the MFS endowment provides scholarships, professional development for faculty, and resources to help the school recruit and retain talented teachers.

The total MFS endowment is comprised of numerous individual endowment funds. A named endowment is a permanent fund that provides annual income for MFS programs, students and faculty, etc. in perpetuity. Individual named funds may be established with gifts of $25,000 to $1 million or more. In accordance with the endowment investment and spending policies of the School Committee, a named endowed fund is invested and income is directed annually to the program identified by the donor or is unrestricted. The Endowment Spending Policy for Moorestown Friends School directs that 5 percent of the 3-year market average of the school’s entire endowment be allocated among the unrestricted and restricted funds that comprise the MFS endowment.
